search-api
Search API integration. Manage Deals, Persons, Organizations, Leads, Projects, Pipelines and more. Use when the user wants to interact with Search API data.
Why this skill is useful
Adds specific commands and workflows for integrating with the Search API that the AI wouldn't reliably generate on its own.
What it needs
Requires @membranehq/cli installed locally. Requires membrane account access. About 3k tokens when loaded. Last updated 2026-04-28. 253 stars on the source repository.
What this skill does
Search API The Search API provides search functionality for various data sources. It's used by developers and applications that need to quickly and efficiently find specific information within large datasets. Official docs: https://developers.google.com/custom-search/v1/reference/rest Search API Overview Search Query Results Document Working with Search API This skill uses the Membrane CLI (npx @membranehq/cli@latest) to interact with Search API. Membrane handles authentication and credentials refresh automatically — so you can focus on the integration logic rather than auth plumbing. First-time setup A browser window opens for authentication. After login, credentials are stored in ~/.membrane/credentials.json and reused for all future commands. Headless environments: Run the command, copy the printed URL for the user to open in a browser, then complete with npx @membranehq/cli@latest login complete <code>. Connecting to Search API 1. Create a new connection: Take the connector ID from output.items[0].element?.id, then: The user completes authentication in the browser. The output contains the new connection id. Getting list of existing connections When you are not sure if connection already exists: 1. Check existing connections: If a Search API connection exists, note its connectionId Searching for actions When you know what you want to do but not the exact action ID: This will return action objects with id and inputSchema in it, so you will know how to run it. Popular actions Use npx @membranehq/cli@latest action list --intent=QUERY --connectionId=CONNECTIONID --json to discover available actions. Running actions To pass JSON parameters: Proxy requests When the available actions don't cover your use case, you can send requests directly to the Search API API through Membrane's proxy. Membrane automatically appends the base URL to the path you provide and injects the correct authentication headers — including transparent credential refresh if they expire. …
